Athletic Performance & Development

All Athletic performance & development programs are created by Strength & Conditioning Specialists Nicholas Katsidis. The difference between most of the Athletic development programs are that the're all sport & key positional specific.

 
 

football (soccer)

This program concentrates on athletic performance & development for football players of all ages and levels. The program is based on improving Acceleration, Agility, Deceleration, (COD) Change of direction, Lateral movement, Stability, Mobility, Myofascial release, Power, Strength & Conditioning. 

Sport specifics- 

  • Foot & eye coordination.

  • Lower body movement & coordination drills.

  • Body on body contact conditioning.

  • Main muscle groups targeted are posterior chain (Glutes, Hamstrings, Calfs), Quads, Core. Shoulders are a secondary focus to help with speed and acceleration.

Sport Specifics for Goalkeeper- 

  • Horizontal leap/dive.

  • Vertical leap.

  • Hand & eye coordination.

  • Reaction speed.

  • Grip strength.

  • Correct diving techniques.

  • Body on floor contact conditioning.

 

AFl (AUSTRAILAN RULES FOOTBALL)

This program concentrates on athletic performance & development for AFL(Australian rules football) players of all ages and levels. The AFL program has the same basic fundamentals which are to improving Acceleration, Agility, Deceleration, (COD) Change of direction, Lateral movement, Stability, Mobility, Myofascial release, Power, Strength & Conditioning. 

Sport Specifics- 

  • Hand & eye coordination.

  • Foot & eye coordination.

  • Body on body contact conditioning.

  • Grip strength.

  • Main muscle groups worked are posterior chain (Glutes, Hamstrings, Calfs), Quads, Shoulders, Core.

  

 

Tennis

This program concentrates on athletic performance & development for Tennis players of all ages and levels. This program covers basic fundamentals which are to improving Acceleration, Agility, Deceleration, (COD) Change of direction, Lateral movement, Stability, Mobility, Myofascial release, Power, Strength & Conditioning.

Sport specifics- 

  • Power generation through upper body, predominately shoulder, elbow, hips

  • Rotational speed through thoracic region.

  • Hand & eye coordination.

  • Raket speed.

  • Main muscle groups targeted are Shoulders, Core and posterior chain (Glutes, Hamstrings, Calfs).

BASKETBALL

This program concentrates on athletic performance & development for Basketball players of all ages and levels. This program covers basic fundamentals which are to improving Acceleration, Agility, Deceleration, (COD) Change of direction, Lateral movement, Stability, Mobility, Myofascial release, Power, Strength & Conditioning.

This Program has a lot of short sharp exercise drills. Improve reaction and explosive power.  

Sport specifics- 

  • Hand & eye coordination.

  • Vertical leap.

  • Body on body contact conditioning.

  • Grip strength.

  • Main muscle groups targeted are Shoulder, Core and posterior chain (Glutes, Hamstrings, Calfs).
